Can lipitor cause heel pain?

my heels hurt so bad that I can hardly walk. Could taking lipitor be causing this?

I would say, yes it is possible. But, of course, it does not mean for certain that lipitor is causing the pain in your heels. Check with your physician or clinician because I don't think that is a common side effect of this medication. Also I came across this under "precautions" with this medication:

the main two things to watch for are liver dysfunction and generalized muscle pain or weakness. You get liver blood work before you start, then recheck in 3 months. If the numbers have increased significantly, you stop.. Source(s): i take and prescribe it
