Can lipitor cause heel pain?

my heels hurt so bad that I can hardly walk. Could taking lipitor be causing this?

I would say, yes it is possible. But, of course, it does not mean for certain that lipitor is causing the pain in your heels. Check with your physician or clinician because I don't think that is a common side effect of this medication. Also I came across this under "precautions" with this medication:



Check with your doctor immediately if you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, especially if it is accompanied by unusual tiredness or fever, because the medicine's adverse effects on muscle can lead to serious kidney problems
