Artificial joint people only: Were you ever on statins(Lipitor, Zocor, Crestor etc.?)?

Question:

I know these statins can cause side effects including joint PAIN. Does that mean they can do actual joint DAMAGE?

Answer:

The big worry is called "rhabdo" Basically some muscle tissue starts breaking down.

Joint replacements are usually done for bone damage, often from osteoarthritis.

So, I wouldn't expect that statins would damage bone.
